My spring break has been filled mostly with homework. Thankfully, today I was able to take a break from figure analyses and studying for tests next week to hike Rattlesnake Ledge in North Bend, Washington with my dad and my dog, Luna. The hike was easy to moderate, very pet-friendly, and had beautiful views from the top. It was very busy though, especially for going in the middle of the week and relatively early in the day. Taking a break at the ledge there were swarms of people and it was difficult to find a nice spot to sit from which you could enjoy the view. I would definitely recommend the hike to anyone who enjoys hiking with their animal, its one of the best hikes in Washington that pets are allowed to join. We did nearly get lost on the way to the trailhead though, if you choose to use Google Maps, select Rattlesnake Ledge and not Rattlesnake Ledge Trail because the latter takes you to the other side of the mountain and the road it wants you to use is on private property.
After the hike, we ate lunch at North Bend Bar and Grill, a quaint local restaurant just a few minutes away. It boasted fresh baked goods and delicious burgers. I had the Trail Burger, a ⅓ lb patty with bacon and mushrooms topped with swiss cheese, onions, and barbeque sauce.
I finished off my day with a face mask and a bubble bath to stave off sore muscles of tomorrow, and a dinner of corned beef and rice.
